Bridge to Ability is a non-profit private school and learning center serving the educational needs of physically and cognitively challenged children birth through 12th grade. The childcare center welcomes students of ALL Abilities: birth – 5.
The Private School is for school age students with severe physical and intellectual disabilities. Students may attend our private school until they reach the age of 22. Enrollment is open throughout the school year and summer. Michelle Pols and Cheryl Baylis, are certified teachers by the Florida Department of Education and are ranked as “Highly Qualified.” Our staff are trained according to the individual education and therapeutic needs of each child. Our children receive therapies from the most competent, caring, and dedicated therapists in the Central Florida area, and provide total needs therapy, not just “educationally relevant” therapy.
We offer expert care along with an enriched academic environment for fragile infants and children with severe physical and cognitive disabilities to include Cerebral palsy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Spina Bifida, Seizure disorders, Respiratory disorders, Developmental Delay, Di George Syndrome, Angelman, and many others.
Bridge to Ability Specialized learning center is a clean, friendly, sensory rich, environment unlike any other in the area. In our uniquely designed center, we offer an intimate and active environment, enriching your child in a safe and hands-on-play based setting.
Literacy, music, art, motor development, math and science will be a regular part of your child’s day. Our Early Childhood educators offer years of experience, consistency, and caring.
Our center combines education, special care for each individual student, and therapeutic intervention that targets developmental programs to promote growth and progress appropriate for each child.
